In general, the common faults of the labeling machine are blistering, wrinkles, incorrect label position, and label detachment, etc.

There are many reasons for blistering, such as the surface of the bottle is not clean and smooth enough. Factors such as impurities, plasticizers, glue reaction, and activation of the printing surface solvent on the bottle will cause foaming during the labeling process. In this case, the bottle should be washed and dried first, and clamped and fixed by the conveyor belt during labeling according to the shape of the surface of the bottle, especially a flat plastic bottle.

Incorrect selection of film materials that are not suitable for bottle characteristics can also cause label blistering. In general, soft bottles labels should be made of PE, PVC, unstretched PP and synthetic materials of PE and PP; rigid bottles labels should be made of PET, BOPP, PS and other materials.

If the speed adjustment of the labeling machine and the improper labeling method are also one of the causes of blistering. Specifically, the speed of the bottle should be slightly faster than the labeling speed of the label when labeling, thus avoiding the generation of bubbles.

In addition, the static electricity should be completely eliminated before labeling, so that the label can be strong enough to get rid of the bottom paper. The labeling machine should not be brushed with a brush, sponge roller or vacuum suction method. Instead, a rubber scraper with a certain strength should be installed in contact with the label, and the scraper should maintain a certain angle and strength. The labeling of the soft bottle body should adjust the relationship among the labeling speed, the blade strength, the angle and the distance.

If the bottom paper is not properly selected, blistering may also occur. CapsulCN recommends that users choose a smooth bottom paper which will make the adhesive flat on the surface.

Incorrect label position

If this happens, the operator may check the installation of the peeling plate and the holder. If the two are not parallel, the labeler label will go wrong.

There is a tie rod phenomenon during the labeling process, which may result in poor labeling. When the stripping plate is used for a long time, the stripping port is worn out, and the pulling force is also uneven, so that the label is deflected.

Wrinkling of labels:

Label wrinkling is likely to occur when labeling too fast, and the speed of the product cannot be kept up. In addition, too early labeling is also a possible cause. If the product has not yet reached the marked position, the label has already begun to be marked, which may cause wrinkles. If this happens, the adjustments should be made by modifying the parameters of the labeler.
